Well I've taken Mr angry grinder to the old steering rack mounts today so I hope the new on fits ! also discovered the coolant hoses around the rad were starting to perish so that's a bit more cash to spend,ah well gives me something to do

Well you've done it now no turning back Hope it all goes well T . I 've had a bit of a problem ,fitted that header tank and when I tried the bonnet it wouldn't fit .I have had to get the horizontal tank (like your's tony ) hope my pipes are long enough . Graham

Well new shocks are assembled ready to be fitted, waiting for bushes to arrive for the new rocker arms then I can get the new rack in place and try to work out how I can make the steering shaft miss the oil filter Got my shiny new oil and water tanks and battery tray in place as well- gonna thaw my fingers out in the ovennow ! Well the rack's all in place, suspension back together with new bushes/ balljoints, just gotta set the tracking and put the rad back on and I can see how much difference it's made !

All back together now, battery's charging so weather permitting I hope to get out tomorrow and see if it was worth the effort !

Well done Tony , I've not done anything to mine . When tax runs out end of Feb I will SORN it till april unless I get itchy feet ;D
I need to make pods for rev light and fog light ,finish off catch tank install and hope thats it ,we will see .

So I see ,nice one T . engine looks very good , are you going to lag the exhaust pipes ? Did you set up the tracking when the new rack was in ?

Thought about lagging but there's nothing near them to overheat so prob won't bother, just set the tracking somewhere near, get it done properly when I've made sure nothing's going to fall off Tony

Ok , always better if nothing FALLS OFF . ;D
But if the pipes were lagged it would help keep the heat down in the engine bay a bit .
