hi gang.  i was talking to my dad today, and he mentioned a great event in ormskirk, for all types of vehicles from historic racers, to classics, and modern day racers. it sounds a bit like wood vale, but with an added event, which involves a two or three mile controled parade round ormskirk, and then back to show ground. sounds like a good day out, and a cance to meet up. cant believe my dad some times, he has lived in ormskirk for twenty years, and only just mentioned it?.. if you go to www.ormskirkcarfest.com it gives you a good idea of whats on oh, and its free if you enter on line, from what i believe....think its august bank holiday monday..... |

Jonny sounds and looks great I will be up for this!  looking at the picture gallery I didn't see any kit cars. I think this would be a great day out especially with the tour around the town, lots of noise and a true spectacle. I would like as many members to group together for runs out and shows this year and get this club back up and running. getting organised as much as possible in our diaries. What do you all think to this Trev.  |

hi trev.
have emailed organisers (aintree racing) to confirm if kits allowed,dont think there will be a problem as it is open to all types, i.e sports classic vintage and the unusual, just about anything on wheels, thats legal.

hi trev .....and all.
i received an e mail from mich,ael thomas today, he is the club chairman and events organiser for aintree race circuit......message reads....kit cars are welcome, ie ...westfields,lotus 7 style,caterham e.t.c. he also says,if more than ten of a club apply,we get a free pitch..sounds good. he also says cars must be in tip top condition, i assume by that he means road worthy and legal. the only stipulation is that we all have to apply idividually on line. if anyone is up for it its.....www.ormskirkmotorfest.com ,and its august bank hol/sunday.think its 27th. we get good weather in august dont we??...or is that wishfull thinking.

not sure about the security of the cars though .

Talking with guys at work and they have said this motor fest is a good event .
So how many would be willing to go to it ?
Its AUG 26th SUN

I think it won't matter how many of us go we will still get alot of attention .
If the weather turns bad on the day then you don't have to turn up .
I think , doing the sign up form now will get us on the list of entries , I 'll do it this week . We can organise meeting places nearer the event.

sorry guys cars still in bits ,couldn't get rocker cover welded at work last week and this week I have had an eye infection and I'm off work till monday .
