He answered saying the parade was a bonus. I answered the parade was the main attraction. Clive

Hi Guys this is my reply NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!!!!
Dear M Ashcroft.
Members of our club have been organising this event since January and I have been heavily advertising this event on my FB site. Quite a few of our members would be coming a long way to Ormskirk, the whole purpose and "unique selling point" of the OMF is the parade! So to be told one week before the event that we will be a static display is very Disappointing to say the least and I think that most of our members will feel the same. This is one of the events this year I have been most looking forward to. Some of us are Driving 100miles+ to the event and we have plenty of other events where we have a static display for our cars, so you see my frustration in this matter I understand, not every one can be in the parade but you have no other, or very few, Kit Cars going so I think you have missed a trick hear to have a wonderful display of "moving" Kit cars for the public to see and hear.
So I wish to inform you I will not be attending, please feel free to give my place to someone else.
Regards
Trevor C Harmer

I only signed up a couple of weeks ago and ticked both parade and static display boxes, and asked, in the further info bit, to be sited with the other members of NWTOC. I presumed that that static areas would be where we could all park together between parade laps. Obviously this is not the case and I hope I didn't balls it up for others. It doesn't look like the organisers are interested in sorting this matter, so I won't be going just to park up for 8 hours. Weather permitting I will be going to Trev's Rosset bash. Looking forward to it. Regards Pete. P.S. Trev, can you let me have your address/postcode by text or through this site? Cheers

I have just sent this to OMF.
To whom it may concern,
Just received your e mail about details for OMF and am very disappointed to find that I am not included in one of the parades. I have been allocated a static pitch along with all the other members of NWTOC, none of whom are being allowed to take part in the parade laps. I ticked both parade and static boxes, assuming that the static area would be where all NWTOC members could park up together between parade laps. The application does not make it clear that entrants may be put in a static area and not allowed to drive the parade laps. As the parade was the main reason for enrolling I will not now be attending your event, just to come and park up for eight hours. Also, leaving it till six days before the event to give drivers this information is very short notice, as people have to make plans to attend these kind of events.
Regards
Mr.Peter Jones (Entrant number 215)

Mike Ashcroft has just sent me a bit of a snotty e mail, saying that this is not their fault, but mine, for not reading the information properly. He also rants on a bit so another reason I won't be going. Pity really because it looked like being good weather this weekend.

I ticked the static display and the parade because one would think that when you are not parading you would be on a static display, you would not go home or to Morrisons for lunch. I think that if we had all just ticked the parade it would not have made any difference. he is just making excuses. Hope the one's who are still going have a good day and all this arguing dose not have any repercussions on you. Clive.

Hi Who else is planning on going to motorfest? I am undecided what to do yet? As above, disappointed about the parade but was still a good thing to watch last year and plenty of other nice cars to view which weren't in parade. For those that aren't going, have you got any alternate plans like a drive out Steve
