Sorry to hear that Paul, is it catching on any part of the bodywork, sharp edges or tight turns, I think you should ring Duncan tomorrow. Clive.

It's in for MOT tomorrow...I'll get them to ring Duncan to find out best way to fit. There's nothing like "crank starting" in second gear at every lights and roundabout to make you look a complete chump....and I'll have to do it again in the morning....:-(

When mine snapped it had been fouling on the chassis as it came into the pedal box but it took about 12 months to wear through. Would have thought it's a routing problem for 2 to go so quickly.

Turned out there was nothing wrong with my starter motor. I'd slightly repositioned the loom to motor when I fitted the new sump As it was touching the exhaust manifold it let all the smoke escape from the wiring ! which also accounted for every dash light being on and running like a bag of spanners. All sorted now Tony

Glad to hear that, Tony. I just hope I can fix mine as quickly...really puzzled by two snapped cables in rapid succession. Just as well it happened fairly close to home again...

Wow This is why we have a shake down Clive is now the only one who hasn't had a problem not to put a kibosh on Clive lol.
Tony really glad you managed to get it sorted that would have put a big downer on the trip don't think Jackie would have been too pleased
Paul has it gone in the same place as the last one? just need to find what's causing it now if you can't bring half a dozen cables lol.
All in all a good day all round good run and a positive out look on the breakdowns
Great picks Clive
Trev.

Paul, Don't know about quadrant fixing, mine's straight onto pedal. Looking for a common factor I've worked out if you stay away from Chester you'll be OK Hope you get it sorted tomorrow. Clive will be ok he's got a crate of alternators with him Tony

Glad you sorted the wiring out Tony, it looks a right mess, as for my alternator it's been on the car 12mths now but still taking a spare, and I believe you're taking a spare fuel pump, any other spare parts going?[now be careful], hope you get your's sorted tomorrow Paul . It was good to see Pete and Chris out on a run again, and how did Trev go from leading the group too being last behind me? Clive.
