According to google maps, it's a 3 hour drive each way! Personally I think it's a bit far but if you all want to go then I will think about it. What time you thinking of setting off and time home? Kids bath night?

Hi Steve, from my house it 132mls 3hrs but most of that is on A roads good driving roads and back a different way, its not as if we stay at these places for long [maybe coffee] and then we move on, last week we met at 10-30 at petrolheads no food left at 11-15 and went to Ponderosa for food left there at about 1-30pm took all the A & B roads to Criccieth arrived at about 3pm left about 3-30pm nice roads back home for 6-45pm total mileage for me 275mls if I went there from my home fastest route is 123mls 2-45 hrs, when we went to Buttertubs Pass for me it was 120mls 2-20hrs so there is not much difference to Aberystwyth. Hope this helps. Clive.

Hi Steve when you were going to go on the Derbyshire run it was only 52mls to the start but it would have taken you 1-30hrs, then the run it self about 90mls and a lunch stop and then back. Clive.

Hi All, just spoke to Trev and decided to scrub Petrolheads and meet at his house for 9-30am and have breakfast at the Ponderosa, then carry on to Aberystwyth from there, so if you want Steve we could meet at our usual place jtn 10 M56 on the A559 at 8-45am then continue on to Trev's if that's OK with you. Clive.

So the planed Route is as follows
Starting from mine across to Horseshoe Pass for breakfast at the Pondarosa, then down the A483 and on towards Aberystwyth via the A470 and A44 and Devil's Bridge on the A4120 which looks a good road into Aberystwyth, then up to Ynyslas sands on the B4353 for our donuts on the sands and I'm not talking about food!!!!! if you know what I mean, just up the coast, then the A487 through Machynlleth then on to Dolgellau A494 to Bala and then home.
