Hi Chaps I have a response from my email and we CAN display our cars but only 5cars per day However to do so there is a £650 + VAT entry fee to take part in CarFest 2015 per event, per Car Club. This cost includes spaces for five display cars at the Event, access to a marquee structure adjacent to the display area, two weekend tickets (wristbands) per display vehicle. A £100 donation will go to Children In Need. Please note that no flags or branding is permitted at the event.
So two things with this, does anyone wish to pay £150 each car? Second it falls around the time of the Scotland cruise.
Give me your thoughts. T.

Expensive and I'm in the Isle of Wight then anyway.. Not sure how they can justify that price just to display your car. Just my thoughts

I know we suggested it but yep you are right, far too expensive :/ Count us out. I think there is a fine line between profit and charity nowadays at some of these events !! Pete

That £150 would pay for Trevor's car to get to Cholmondeley and back....or two new Toyos for mine......or a new camera like Clive...... It's too much when it's the cars such as ours that the public pay to see. The organisers should be paying US!! That's my fuel bill for Scotland, and Pat's fuel bill for Scotland too! I know which I'd rather do.......

Very funny, Tony! Trevor....Which six days of the week did you have in mind for Scotland? Around 31/7 1/8 2/8 ..... I ask because the week before will be the last week I work, (for someone else anyway), and the 3 days of work can be Mon -Weds, unless you want to start out on the Weds (in which case I'll keep it back as a day's holiday), and I can chill out utterly, totally, magnificently, after that.... If you get my drift

Totally agree with all the comments above I was shocked to see what they wanted However £100 of our money each goes to charity and there are some great bands on but all in all the money for this can be better spent on other events this year.
Paul I'm currently seeing what's available Hotel wise before booking the dates but it will be in July
I will post as soon as I have some details

So they want you to pay to display your cars at their show where they are charging the general public to come in and view your cars???

That's what they do at Cholmondeley POP only cheaper but the same principle, when we went Dave it was free. Clive.

Looks like I'll be doing South Wales alone..in which case I'll do it the first decent weekend after my pedal box is fitted... April or the May Bank Holiday, perhaps. I'll try to join up with Tigers in South Wales...and there are a few.
Do Cholmondeley charge? I forgot .... Old age.....
