Sue and I have Just spent the week-end in the Lake District driving some really stunning roads including the Kirkstone Pass which has an altitude of 1489ft and some fantastic views although some of the other roads were a bit narrow to say the least and were lined with stone wall which didn't do my hearing any good (can still hear Sue shouting "too close too close too fast too fast slow down" ringing in my ears) ;D ;D Sorry no photo's forgot the camera and my phone is busted at the moment. what have you guys been upto lately? seems a bit quiet again.

Yea the Kirkstone is a fantastic road but the walls are hard- i took most of the side out of an Alfa GTV on one of them, passenger side- ex girlfriend wasn't impressed ! I've been fitting a tonneau cover Clive gave me to try and get a bit more use while it's cold

Really doesn't help when there are bloody hikers/walkers around every corner aswell!! Clive/Sue glad to hear you are both out and about, but then again would expect nothing less was that the mill we went to with Biggles? Tony are you having a zip put into the tonneau so that the rest of the car stays dry if you get caught in the rain?I believe the half doors are quite good at keeping the wind off you aswell Graham how's the seats coming on? neil

Hi neil , got both seats in now , and have modified my half tonneau cover with a hump on it to go over the pass seat .Next job is a new full tonneau to make to fit to the back of the car . Changed the press studs on the boot cover so I can fit the cover onto the boot cover , just need the motivation and the weather to crack on with it .

hi jonny glad you had a good honeymoon up in the lakes, but your right a 406 is probably not the best car for them type of roads, is Sue not too keen on the Tiger then!!we stayed in Kendal at Stonecross manor. Graham glad you've finally got the drivers seat in but to be honest i would of thought that the drivers should have been the priority rather than the passenger seat but that's just me did you use the runners on the drivers seat or is it fixed? neil

Hi Neil yes that was the place we went to with Graham, this site has gone mad never seen so many members on,good to see mike back, all we need is Trevor,Dave,& eddie for a full house , Jonny mentioning Hard Knot Pass brings back memories from years back, very steep & bendy, might be too tight for the Tiger lock. Hi neil , I did the pass seat first because that was going to be a bolt in job anyway. I have fitted them in front of the pigs ears so they are a couple of inchs nearer the front. So then I tried my seat in with a block of wood under it and its ok ( for me ) so the runners wouldn't gain me anything so I've not used them . I've also modified my half cover with a hump to fit the pass seat just have to make a full one next .
