Hi, I'm pretty new here.
The wrap looks good, is it similar to the titanium exhaust wrap they have on demon tweeks? (http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Car_Preparation/Heat_Shielding_Protection/Design_Engineering_Titanium_Exhaust_Wrap/1471/6261)
I've owned my Tiger Cat E1 for all of 3 days and managed to kill the alternator yesterday. I was wondering if it had been cooked with it being so close to the exhaust manifold and then thinking I should probably wrap the exhaust to try and prevent it doing the same to a new one.
I've read some concerning things about wrapping the exhaust though, shortening the life of the heads and causing serious heat points when the wrap starts to move a little. How have you found it?
Cheers.

Nice to see new members , my car had wrapping on the pipes when I got it and I think it had been on from new in 2002 . The alternator looks quite old it may be from the donor car (don't know ) but I think you need it on the pipes . Not heard anyone say about having problems with engine failures because of having wrapped pipes . But a lot of alternators have died because of the heat. I got my stuff from here : www.thermalvelocity.co.uk/Its called Magma wrap Graham

Doing it to lower the bodywork a bit at the back, don't think it would do anything aerodynamically but should look better, not much to see at mo just been delicately remodeling bits of it with a grinder !post some pics when it's somewhere near fitting.
