As i need one in a rush potentially, I may get a temp small car cover Argos special. But what cover would you recommend Tony? I don't want to spend too much, but at the same time want to make sure its good for the car, and doesn't blow off (very windy here sometimes).

Can't see a problem of driving it if you have taxed and insured as police check computer data base but you should be able to do it all on line and print off paperwork or get a cover note emailed to you to print off maybe you could pay current owner to tax it for you then you would have a disc when you collect if you are worried

I don't have a garage either, for the first couple of weeks i kept it at my mums while i waited for a council owned garage/lockup to come free when they did get in touch they gave me about four sets of keys on two different sites to look at,both within a 10 min walk of my house(i didn't even realise they were there). The site was well maintained with new lighting and none of the usual rubbish around as you might expect and no grafitti,i even got stopped by the police when leaving one time but thats another story!!!.cost less than £20 a month so could be worth getting in touch with your local council.
