Hi all I have noticed on the TOC site that Graham says some of you will be up for a run in Derbyshire on 15th Sept with the EATOC if any one has a spare passenger seat for the day I would like to fill that seat as hopefully my build will be coming along nicely by then and I would like to have a look at a few of your cars and meet you guys. Rick

This is the route for the event in sept . I was thinking of just joining the route half way up the first leg ,save going down to start then coming back up again . Graham

Graham - bear in mind we will have quite a few cars - it might be best matching up one of the tulip points and using that as a reference. We don't know quite how many cars will be coming through at the moment - or how accurate it will be on the timings.

They aren't that hard to read. up the diagram is the direction of travel. Most of them have the signposts you will see. e.g take tulip 3 - it is 2.1 miles from the start and 1.2 miles from the previous tulip. There is a sign labelled Matlock A610 (A6) and amber gate. follow the line i.e. the road pass a pub on the left and a junction on the right. This shows you it in google street view. goo.gl/maps/Ovfvyou can see the traffic lights (dots on the tulip) the side road and if you continue up the road the pub of the left. Not that hard to do....

Had a message from Ian about the derbyshire run . see what you think and if you are up for the lunch break then we have to tell him the week the event is on .
From Ian,
Visited the Bridge Inn at Calver on Saturday (the lunch stop for the Derbyshire run) and had a chat about lunch arrangements. Their kitchen will not be able to cope with a large number turning up at the same time and choosing from their menu so what they suggested was that they would put on a large selection of sandwiches, salads and chips. The cost will be £5.50 a head and for that you can expect to get at least two sandwiches, a large salad and a bowl of chips. Since we were already there that is what we ordered for lunch and even though we only had one sandwich apiece with the trimmings it was really tasty and very filling. I have spoken with Giles and he has put a posting on the EATOC site and I thought I ought to advise you of these arrangements. If you and your guys are OK with this I will need to know by Wednesday before the run (12th September) how many of you will be attending so the pub can prepare the food, please let them know that if they then drop out I will end up paying for food they have ordered and times are hard! Hope the weather picks up.
Graham
