Zetec sump

Evening gents does anyone know if you can get the sump off a zetec silvertop while the gearbox is attached don't see why not but have heard somewhere that it need to be split

Hi Rick the blacktop comes off without the gearbox being removed I would assume it's the same

Hi Trev thats what I thought just read it somewhere that it needed splitting. Have put the engine in the bay now as you have seen but still got the original sump on for now I will be changing it before it goes on the road but don;t really want to take the engine out again so want to do it from underneath with the front end up on ramps

Rick are you going for the ERA short sump and pick up
or modifying your old one IE cutting and welding it?

I did the second one first with an alloy sump but I found it kept leaking

so I got one from Tiger
at a very reasonable price with this you have no sloshing problems click on the link below
