I have been in discussions over the last week or so with Laura from Tiger Racing regarding a hood bag, this will be as close as possible to the same design as the Caterham 7 boys have.
If anyone wants to please check ebay for the Caterham 7 hood bags, the price is a heady £70-100.
I'm doing this as i'm sick of having my hood stored in the passengers foot well, and my seats are to far back to store it behind them.
Anyway they will attach round the roll bar the same way Caterhams do with heavy duty Velcro and be in a water proof fabric or leather style fabric to match the seats with either a zip/Velcro access area and have piped or plain edging, depending on what is chosen.
I'm hoping that a proto type will be with me over the next couple of weeks,.
So chaps is there anyone else that maybe interested, i'm happy to get a group buy going if there's enough interest and start a list?
Type of Tiger will not matter as Laura said these will be made for each car requested, ie: S6, B6, Avon, Cat etc.
So chaps let me know.

I think it would be a good idea Ade depends on the price the only down side for me would be the bag being in the way of my rear view mirror but that's a minor point.

Trev, it should be fine as it will be only slim, is your mirror not the same as mine?
I can't see much in mine anyway, lol.

Is yours mounted near the base mount? Mine works out to around half way up the screen.

Trev, mines higher than yours mate, lol. I'll post a pic tomoz.
That's great Darren, as soon as I have rough prices etc from Laura @ tiger I'll let everyone know, when she looked at Caterham hood bags she said they would be alot cheaper.
Obviously the more people that want one will bring the prices down anyway.

Hi Ade. I may be another one interested in the hood bag, depending on price. Would it be one of the round tube type ones or the thicker flat type? Just thinking down the same route as Trev, about rear visibility. I already have a bit of a restricted view caused by the top of my spare wheel. Pete

Hi guys, It'll be the round tube type but shouldn't be any higher than your spare wheel anyway.
Laura has said she'll make them what ever way people want anyway, I've asked for the round tube tube type to start as per Caterhams.
I think she'll be more interested in numbers wanted etc

Hi Ade, Just wondered if Laura would be able to stitch in some sort of eyelets to the hood bags so they could be secured to the car, rather than just using a couple of velcro straps. I know kit car people are generally a pretty honest bunch but there are others who sadly ain't. Cheers Pete ps any mention of price yet?

No mention on price yet as Laura needs to see how much fabric and time is used etc.
But the bigger the order the cheaper etc, im sure eyelets can be put in. Ive only gone for the same as Caterham's at the moment.
Once Laura has made a prototype it can then be improved and tweaked as needed.
