This weeks jobs are, replace back axle cover plate and gasket with new and fit spreader plates.
Axle cover plate on order from Burton, spreader plates on order from a Grp 4 rally motorsport place I'd found.
All should be with me ready for Wednesday.

well, what a rubbish day.
Stripped Tigger's diff plate cover off, drained all the dirty axle out and cleaned, cleaned the face from old gasket and waited for Mr Postman.
So, Mr Postman turns up and I'm like a kid on crimbo morning, only to find that the new cover plate is to big.
After much research it's not an Atlas that fitted to the Super 6 even though its in the build file as one, its a Koln item which is identical to look at. After speaking to Burton, Tiger and many more axle suppliers I'm going to have to repair my old diff cover.
Luckily for me its only a pin head size hole from a the spot weld that held the brake pipe clip and can be repaired with a small weld, grind back and then repaint, so it'll look like new anyway but it's just me being fussy that's started it all, lol.
So, any of us with Super 6's, check which axle you have as there are two type fitted and if your like me there like hens teeth!

Well all back together and I've done some local blasts to make sure all is well and no leaks. Also found what my final drive is, lol. Here's a few pics. I think for winter I'm going to have some alloy group 4 diff covers made as Koln diff covers are impossible to get hold of.
