So while making this diffuser and after reading about the parachute effect on 7 type cars I wondered if I was wasting my time and was it really just hype. So today was the first proper drive with it fitted, my drive to work from the Westhoughton area to Liverpool is A & B road and a good 20 mile of motorway, the result?  ?? It was mega fun, on the motorway at speed my car felt so, so planted, almost as if it was hugging the road, and the fast twisty bits was even more fun, it really has made a big difference. My car I must add has been set up for Track days, corner weighted etc etc so no rubbish handling to start with. If anyone wants one or help with one, give the word. |

YES,! i know about the parachute effect. In reverse, I used to get it with VW Beetles with Porsche engines...only it was air under the front wings. With 7 types, it's all in the rear of course. Anything to eliminate it is welcome! What do I have to do to enlist your help? Bribery? Corruption? Happy to pay for materials, time, etc. you've done a professional looking job...

Need to have a look under you car mate, get some measuring done etc, I don't know how much different your Cat E1 is to the Super 6 underneath.
I have all the info for Super 6's.
Perhaps we should get a diffuser list up, ha ha

Hi Paul/Trev. Great to see you both got your cars sorted. (Graham and Duncan to the rescue!) We are lucky to have their facilities and knowledge just down the road. (They have helped me out many a time.) These are the type of people we need to support so they they are there for a long time. P.S. Paul, I saw a pic of yours on Facebook and it looks spot on. Took mine for a blatt today. Brilliant...starts, no backfiring, no cutting out. Steering feels lighter and easier, and it's a joy to drive. Will have a few more over coming days, weather permitting, to just reassure myself.... A Ferrari driver even asked if I'd swap for a day. Guess what I told him.........
I totally agree about Chester Spurtscars..... I'm even luckier than most, as they are just a couple of miles down the road..

Hi Jim, I'm going to get a list of people wanting one and which Tigers etc. Then I'm going to meet up with most people as they'll be made for that car not a generic Diffuser that fits all. That way it'll be a better fit.
Not even thought about costs as need to price up how much Aluminium I will need.
