Do you all know if you have one fitted to your car ? I going to mod my rear circuit and fit a knob style adj valve in the pipe so I can set the braking force to the rear . Tried to bleed rear wheels by sucking out the fluid and couldn't get it to work . Had to do the "pump the pedal " method . I think the pressure reducing valve stops it flowing ,but not sure .

I think the sierra one has a moving ball arrangement that can stick in place. A gentle tap with Tiger Tool no 2 may free it Tony

That would tie up with the deceleration value as they call it in the manual . Going to get rid any way , new master cylinder came today. looks like it got 4 out ports on it will have to block 1 off some how , can you get blanking plugs ?

Glad you said that Rick , thats what I was going to do . Also had a look under car this morning I have a pipe coming from the front it goes into the valve ,then into a tee piece and then to each wheel . I'm going to short out the valve and join the pipes . I've got the manual regulator valve now and the new MC so just need the time after the derby run to fit everything and test it .
Cheers rick

Hi Graham, When I did my rear axle conversion to a XR4x4 rear axle, I removed my rear brake deceleration valve totally, as my belief is that the valve is only really needed if you have servo assisted brakes, which I and most other kitcars don't. The primary and secondary pistons in the master cylinder act to split the braking pressures sufficiently as to not cause to many problems in our light cars. Anyway I have run mine without problems for the last 10 years. Hope this helps mate.

Hi Graham, Sorry no afraid I can't make the Derby run this weekend as already committed to coaching my Junior rugby kids, so maybe next time, but looks like a good run out.
