The metal ties can be a pain I used jubilee clips to hold the tape on . Also put it on WET then it will shrink and give you a tighter fit .
I ended up spray painting mine as the ends started to fray .

Two excellent ideas, Graham....I hadn't thought about putting it on wet.....and I still have three to do, so will use your suggestion.

Rick....yes, guess I did ?. Fitting my rad on Friday...once I've done it, the Motorsport people want me to ring them..to book it in for pedals. First they'll try to completely repair existing pedal, so it works perfectly. If not possible, they will try to fit my single new clutch pedal. Again, if not possible, we will discuss, and then fit a completely new assembly, floor mounted, using all new pedals including a brake bias bar and two new master cylinders for the brakes. Sod the bloody cost....I just want this done!!

What rad are putting in Paul i have just rerouted the pipes on mine as they were to close to the exhaust for my liking so if you are using the polo rad give me a shout and i'll send you aphoto Rick
