;)tony. if you hvn,t sorted carbs out yet, try checking the brass screw that holds your venturi into position,there should be a locking washer with it and a hole in the top of your screw so you can lock wire it. i had same problem, before s.v.a test in june, it kept spewing petrol out of left hand trumpet, found the screw was loose and not locked. carbs were brand new from vulcan engines. just a possibility. john.

Tony, I have noticed on mine that there was a deffo smell of petrol with ignition on, traced it back to the rear weber, could see it dripping in the venturis and running back to the front plate.
You need to remove both filters and switch ignition on so fuel pump is running.
I had to adjust the float height on mine to stop it overfilling. Very simple job and took about 30 mins.

I've cleaned out the needle valves and that seems to have sorted it !
